Carthage Lady Bulldogs Thump Jefferson 71-42

The Carthage girls racked up their second win at the Dan Noll Classic Monday, with a decisive victory over Jefferson.

After downing Gladewater 64-56 Saturday, the Carthage Lady Bulldogs have staked a claim for the top spot, and placed themselves on a collision course with tournament host White Oak, who also has wins over Jefferson and Gladewater.

Shereana Robinson led all scorers with 22 points for Carthage, and Cassie Smith added 15. Ashley Robertson netted two 3 pointers for her total of 6 points.

Santisha Jackson paced Jefferson's scoring with 14 points. Teynadra Baker added 10 points, including two 3 pointers.

Carthage will face White Oak Tuesday at 4:00pm, in the match that will decide the tournament champ.
