White Oak Runs By New Diana 35-20

In a contest dominated by the ground game, the Roughneck's premier running backs prove too much for the Eagles.

The agressive running of Roughnecks Orlando Humble and Jackson McCurty, paired with a swarming White Oak defense had the Eagles on their heels all night.

White Oak took to the air for the first score, and 18 yard strike from QB Austin Tubbs to Blake Ware. From then on, it was all turf warfare.

Humble ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns. That puts him over a 1000 yards on the season. McCurty added 73 yards and one touchdown. Junior Hamilton rumbled twenty-six yards for the last Roughneck touchdown, early in the fourth quarter.

White Oak's kicker, Trevor Waite was perfect on the night, booting 5 PAT's.

New Diana was outsized on the line on both sides of the ball, but proved game nonetheless.

QB Travis Barton and RB Shay Bradley both scored touchdowns in the first half. Desmond Johnson pounded in from the five yard line early in the fourth, and Barton scored a two point conversion on keeper up the middle.

The Eagles efforts were hampered most by their kicking game. After missing the first PAT, Diana was forced to play catch-up and try for two pointers the rest of night.

New Diana hosts Sabine next week, and Harleton will be at White Oak.
