TABC: 2A Sabine Edges Up To Third Spot

Coaches take notice of Cardinal scores

INTERNET, Feb. 2, 2009 -- The Texas Association of Basketball Coaches gave a boost to the Sabine Cardinals squad this week, moving them up a spot to rank third among state 2A teams.

A loss by Whitewright to district 11-2A rival Melissa dropped last week's 3rd ranked team to the eighth spot, further helping the Cardinals.

Sabine will look to hold onto third this week with matches against Elysian Fields and New Diana.
