Sabine Extends Winning Streak To 16

Cardinals take a 79-30 home court win over Harmony.

GLADEWATER, TX Jan. 30, 2009 -- Coach Tim Davis' Cardinals continued to roll unchecked through the 18-2A line-up tonight with a home win over the Harmony Eagles.

Just two games into the second half of district play, the win pushed Sabine's district record to (9-0), and clinched a playoff spot for them.

Scoring the opening basket, Sabine never trailed, and allowed the Eagle to score double digits just once, in the fourth frame.

The Cardinal's Noah Jackson led all scorers with 23 points, followed by teammates Colton Kirk with 15 points and Jacob Kenna with 14.

For Harmony, Jordan Argabright led with 11 points, trailed by Jon Ledbetter with 8.

Sabine travels to face Elysian Fields Tuesday.

Harmony, with a district record of (4-5), will look to break a two game losing streak Tuesday when they travel to duel with Lions of Union Grove.
