Sabine Defeats Harleton 67-22

Cardinals extend winning streak to 16.

HARLETON, TX., Jan. 28, 2009 -- The Sabine Cardinals opened the second half of district play Tuesday with a win on the road over the Harleton Wildcats, keeping it's district record perfect at 8-0.

The game, a rematch of the Jan. 2nd game that Sabine won 76-26, featured the outside shooting of Noah Jackson, who connected on four baskets from outside the arc.

Jackson led all scorers with 23 points, followed by fellow Cardinal Colton Kirk with 22. Tanner Beattie led the Wildcat scorers with 8 points.

Sabine will look for it's 17th straight win when it hosts the Harmony Eagles (4-4) in district play, Friday. Sabine won an earlier match-up with the Eagles 78-57.

Harleton, (2-5) in the district, plays host to Winona Friday.
