Area Players Named To Class 3A All State Team

Gilmer places one on the first team roster, Pittsburg lands two on second team.

The Associated Press Sports Editors named Gilmer offensive lineman Dakota Hagler as a first team member, and gave second team nods to two Pittsburg players, Kicker Saul Martinez and linebacker Greg Attaway.


Hagler, a senior at Gilmer, was credited with 110 pancake blocks, and graded at 95%.

Pittsburg has to be happy with it's two nominees, since both will be returning next year. Martinez is a sophomore, and Attaway is a junior.

Attaway, 6'-0", 195#, is credited with 33 tackles and 108 assists, averaging 14.1 tackles per game.

Martinez, at 5'-10" and 160#, scored 7 field goals this year.
