New Diana Adds Longview To Baseball Scrimmage Lineup

Coach B.J. Brown adds the 5A Lobos to the Eagles tune-up schedule

DIANA, TX, Feb. 10, 2009 -- Coach B.J. Brown today added another team to his Eagle squad's 2009 scrimmage schedule. Before they take the field against Linden-Kildare and De Kalb, the Eagles will face their first pre-season test at home Friday against the Longview Lobo squad Friday, Feb. 13th at 4:00 p.m.

Longview last year, under coach Joey Kalmus, went (11-12), taking second in District 12-5A, behind Mesquite. The Lobos fell in the bi-district round, though, to a tough Plano West Wolves team that went on to win the state crown, and was ranked #1 nationally.

Longview graduated seven seniors off last years squad, and should be returning eight seasoned ball players this year.
