Harmony Girls Top New Diana

Swarming Harmony defense holds Diana to 4 points in the first half, going on to win 50-28.

NEW DIANA, Jan. 2, 2008 -- Harmony's Lady Eagles jumped on New Diana early, and never let up, leading at the end of the first half 17-4.

In the second half, Harmony still dominated the scoring, helped along by aggressive defensive play that forced 33 turnovers and kept the New Diana squad under Harmony's basket for most of the game.

Raney Matthews led all New Diana scorers with 15 points, 9 coming from free throws, and Teriel Dixon grabbed 10 defensive rebounds.

New Diana (3-13-0), will face Elysian Fields Tuesday. Elysian Fields is coming off a loss to White Oak.
