3A Pleasant Grove Falls To White Oak In 3rd Round Last Man Standing Tournament Play

In a tournament heavy with nail biting finishes, the match between the White Oak Roughnecks and the Hawks of Pleasant Grove didn't disappoint.

White Oak led for most of the game, but watched a 40-28 halftime lead evaporate as the Hawks rallied in the second half, outscoring the Roughnecks by twenty points.

But the White Oak squad refused to lose, with Roughnecks Conner Sharp dropping a key three pointer and Taylor Goll hitting 2 clutch free throws late in the fourth quarter, giving White Oak the win by two points, 67-65.

White Oaks Jackson McCurdy led all scorers with 25 points. Hawks guard Damien Watts followed closely with 20 points.
