Local Fishing Reports

Current fishing conditions reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

BOB SANDLIN - Water fairly clear; 59-64 degrees; 0.36' low. Black bass are good on clear topwaters Spooks early, midday switching to wacky rigs, Rat-L-Traps and Texas rigs. White bass are good on slabs and Rooster Tails. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs around the Hwy 21 bridge columns a few cranks off the bottom. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

LAKE O' THE PINES - Water stained; 59-64 degrees; 0.08' low. Black bass are fair to good on chatterbaits, Texas rigs, flukes and wacky rigs. Crappie are good on minnows over brush piles. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and cut shad. Bream are fair to good on red wigglers.

WRIGHT PATMAN - Water lightly stained; 59-64 degrees; 4.03' high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, shad pattern crankbaits and Carolina rigs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs over brush piles. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and cut shad.
