Union Grove Falls Hard To Sabine
Held to single digits in all four quarters, the Lions watched as Sabine rolled to their twelfth win in a row Tuesday, 67-21.
UNION GROVE, TX Jan. 20, 2009 -- Led by guard Noah Jackson, Sabine had three players hit double digits in the rout of Union Grove.
The Cardinals scored 16 points in the first eight minutes, smothering the Lions and allowing only two points in answer.
By the half, Sabine had a 31-7 lead, and the wind at their back.
The second half was much the same, with the Lions scoring 7 in each period, while Sabine added 23 in the third period, and 13 in the fourth.
Noah Jackson led all scorers with 19 points, followed by Cardinal teammates Colton Kirk with 13, and Jacob Kenna with 10. Josh Montana was a thorn in the Lion's paw all night, pulling down eight rebounds.
Bo Davis led Union Grove's scoring with 11 points.
