Area Girls Named To 2008 All-State Volleyball Teams

The Texas Sports Writers Association has released it's selections for the 2008 All-State Volleyball, and several local players were named.

Topping the local girls named was Natalie Craven, Setter for White Oak. White Oak placed three players on the team, as did New Diana.

Class 2A First Team

• SETTER - Natalie Craven, White Oak

Class 2A Second Team

• MIDDLE BLOCKERS/OUTSIDE HITTERS - Elizabeth Johnson, New Diana

Class 2A Honorable Mention

• MIDDLE BLOCKERS/OUTSIDE HITTERS - Abbey Bybel, White Oak; Morgan Wilson, White Oak; Morgan Bristow, New Diana

• SETTER - Jami Sampson, New Diana
